Sprint will sell LG G Flex 2 from March 13
The LG G Flex 2 was one of the main attraction at CES in the beginning of 2015 and is only a few weeks away from becoming available on US soil. Sprint already started accepting pre-orders for the smartphone from February 20, but the device won't make it to users' hands until March 13. Other US carriers including AT&T and T-Mobile have indicated that they'll be carrying the phone, so we'd expect their own announcements and release plans to follow before long.
The fabulous Volcano Red color option will be exclusive to Sprint, while others will only get the more inconspicuous Platinum Silver. Sprint customers can get the G Flex 2 for $0 down followed by monthly payments of $21 for 24 months. If you're going with a new two-year contract, the device can be had for $199. Retail price of the device is at $504 excluding taxes. The carrier is throwing in a free Quick Circle case worth $59.99 to all customers pre-ordering the device.
In terms of specs, the G Flex 2 offers a 5.5-inch full-HD display backed by Gorilla Glass 3, 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810 CPU, 13MP camera at the back and a 3,000mAh battery along with Lollipop out of the box. The LG G Flex2 is the first commercially available device, featuring the latest and greatest Snapdragon 810 chipset. 16GB and 32GB of built-in storage options will be in existence, with 2GB and 3GB of RAM respectively, continuing LG's practice to install less operating memory in the base model. Another LG specialty, the healing back cover is on board as well, in its second generation.
