AT&T now offering both BlackBerry Passport and Classic
If you are a BlackBerry fan then AT&T has surely have some good news for you. The carrier finally decided to release both the BlackBerry Passport and the Classic from February 20. Elsewhere they've been available for months, but soon you'll have the option to purchase one of them even if you love long-term contracts with carriers. AT&T first said it would carry the Passport back in September of 2014, so this has been a very long time coming.
The BlackBerry Passport has a large 4.5-inch Full HD square touch screen and a touch-enabled QWERTY keyboard, giving you ideal content viewing without compromising portability. Built on BlackBerry’s secure BlackBerry 10 OS 10.3.1 operating system it supports all your necessary apps right from the beginning.
The Passport will be offered by AT&T for $199.99 with a classic two-year agreement, or $649.99 without a contract. If you use the company's Next installment scheme, you pay $0 upfront, then followed by either 20 monthly payments of $32.50, or 24 monthly installments of $27.09, or 30 monthly payments of $21.67.
Designed for speed and accuracy, the BlackBerry Classic includes BlackBerry’s iconic QWERTY keyboard, trackpad and navigation keys, making it easy to communicate quickly and accurately with one hand. Although familiar in appearance, the BlackBerry Classic upgrades the BlackBerry Bold 9900 experience with a faster browser, longer battery life and more screen space. It also comes with the secure BlackBerry 10 OS 10.3.1 operating system, offering customers access to commanding features including BlackBerry Blend and BlackBerry Assistant.
The BlackBerry Classic will cost $49.99 with a new two-year service agreement, or $419.99 with no annual commitment. With Next, once again you pay $0 down, and then you can choose between the same three installment plans. If you opt for the shortest, you'll hand out $21 per month for 20 months. Or there's the option of paying $17.50 per month for 24 months, or $14 each month for 30 months.
