Till now we have the assumption that Samsung is going to unveil Galaxy Note 8 at Berlin IFA 2017, which is set to start on September. There were also rumors that the Samsung Galaxy Note8 could be unveiled in August. Now we have a new release date on our hand. A South Korean publication, Naver reports that Samsung will unveil its Galaxy Note 8 on August 26 at an event in New York. If you want to compare, Galaxy Note 7 was unveiled on August 2, 2016, this is a delay of almost a month.

The publication also reports that the Galaxy Note 8 will feature a 6.3-inch Infinity Display, a slightly improved S Pen, dual cameras, Bixby, and a fingerprint reader that’s located on the rear of the phone, similar to that of the Galaxy S8 and S8+. However, the fingerprint reader’s position has reportedly been shifted to the middle of the device as it was hard to reach when it was beside the rear-facing camera.
