Samsung Sells 3 Million Galaxy S Smartphones in US
On November 8th, at the launch event for the new Samsung Continuum for Verizon Wireless, Samsung Mobile's Chief Marketing Officer, Paul Golden, said that his company has shipped its 3 millionth Galaxy S smartphone in the United States. The aforementioned Continuum is the most recent addition to the Galaxy S lineup, which also includes the Fascinate, Vibrant, Captivate, and Epic 4G.
Keep in mind that this is the whole Galaxy S lineup we're talking about here and not about a single device. As you know, the Galaxy S is known under different names and comes in a handful of flavors over at the diverse US operators' stores.
The CDMA-loving Continuum is the latest, fifth, member of the Galaxy S family. It comes after the Captivate, Fascinate, Epic 4G and Vibrant which share lots of common features, including the Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreens they all come on board with.
The dual screen Samsung Continuum was unveiled during a press event that was previously rumored to celebrate the birth of the next-gen Google Nexus One. And while the Continuum has already arrived, the Nexus Two is still missing.
